The family control measures of the Government are applied on Hindus alone. Hence to ensure Muslims also follow the family control measures, , Uniform Civil Code is needed. Muslim personal law permits a Muslim girl to marry upon attaining puberty. But for Hindus the age of marriage for woman is 18.
அரசு முன்வைக்கும் குடும்பக் கட்டுப்பாடு திட்டங்களை இந்துக்களை மட்டுமே கடைபிடிக்கச் செய்கிறார்கள். எனவே இஸ்லாமியர்களையும் கடைபிடிக்கச் வைக்க பொது சிவில் சட்டம் வேண்டும். திருமண வயது என்று வருகிற போது முஸ்லீம் பெண்கள் வயதுக்கு வந்திருந்தால் போதும் என்று முஸ்லீம் பர்சனல் லா வில் உள்ளது. ஆனால் இந்துக்களை பொருத்த வரை பெண்ணின் திருமண வயது 18 என்று இருக்கிறது.
When these laws were enacted under the Hindu banner, Hindus opposed them vehemently. With such a background, a Uniform Civil Code for all the citizens of the country would permanently ruin Hindus only more than any one else. Many among Hindus who are politically active too follow their Inherent indigenous practises for their personal life. Still to the outside world they project themselves to be a staunch supporter of Uniform Civil Code.
இந்து என்ற பெயரில் இவை இயற்றப்பட்ட போதே இந்துக்கள் இவற்றை கடுமையாக எதிர்த்தார்கள். இந்த நிலையில் இந்திய குடிமக்களுக்கெல்லாம் பொதுவான சிவில் சட்டம் என்று கொண்டு வரப்படுவதால் நிரந்தரமாக பாதிப்படையப் போவது மற்ற எவரையும் விட இந்துக்களே என்பது உறுதியாகப் புலப்படுகிறது. நிலைமை இப்படி இருக்க இந்துக்களில் அரசியல் ஈடுபாடு கொண்டு செயல்படும் பலரும் கூட தங்கள் சொந்த வாழ்க்கை என்று வருகிறபோது மரபான தங்கள் குடிவழக்குகளையே அனுசரித்து வருகிறார்கள். ஆனால் வெளியே பொது சிவில் சட்டத்தை உறுதியாக ஆதரித்தும் வருகிறார்கள்.
